About Scordleizer

Scordleizer connects to your New York Times Games account and turns your play history into a clear, per-game skill score. Unlike the raw stats NYT shows you, the score is about how well you play, not how much - it rewards efficient solving, so you can watch yourself genuinely improve over time and see how you stack up against friends and other players.

We never store your NYT password. We use your login once to obtain access tokens, keep only those (encrypted), and re-check your stats on a regular schedule so your scores stay current.

Frequently asked questions

How does it work?

Link your NYT Games account, and we obtain access tokens from your login (your password is never saved). We then sync your play stats and compute a score for each game. You can even follow your score's trends over time, to see how you improve!

Which games are scored?

Wordle, Connections, Strands, and Spelling Bee are scored - each with its own formula tuned to that game. Additional NYT Games may be added over time.

Is my NYT password stored?

Never. Once your NYT Games account is connected, we will only store the resulting access tokens (and those are kept fully encrypted).

Who can see my score?

Only you - unless you choose to share it! Each connected account has Share buttons so you can easily post your score and challenge your friends to beat it.

Is it free?

Yes!

How do I disconnect or delete my data?

From your account Settings you can change your email or password, manage your weekly summary email, and delete your account entirely. From a connected account's page you can sync it, disconnect it (keeping its data but pausing syncs), or remove it and all of its data.
